SEC employee, Maggie Owen was recently named to the Oak Ridge Reservation Site Specific Advisory Board.

Maggie Owen works as a Health Physics Supervisor for the SEC RADCON Alliance program at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Y-12 National Security Complex. For the last 13 years, she has worked on the Oak Ridge Reservation in deactivation and demolition of radiological facilities, surveillance and maintenance, emergency response, and as a health physics specialist assigned to the Melton Valley Closure Project.

Prior to moving to Tennessee, Maggie worked as a health physics technician providing support for reactor refuel outages in commercial nuclear facilities.

A resident of Oak Ridge, TN, Maggie is a member of the East Tennessee Chapter of the Health Physics Society and the National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Francis Marion University in South Carolina.
