SEC Ranked as ENR Top 200 Environmental Firm and BusinessTN Top Company

Knoxville, TN - August 18, 2009 -Safety and Ecology Corporation (SEC) has consecutively received "Top" recognition by industry and state publications for 2008 revenues.

SEC has been named one of the Engineering News-Record's (ENR's) Top 200 Environmental Firms for 2009. This is the sixth year in a row that SEC has been ranked among the Top 200 firms. ENR's Top 200 Environmental Firms ranking provides an annual look at a market that now exceeds $30 billion in annual revenue. The rankings are based on annual revenue from the firm's previous year.

"It is gratifying to be among the ENR Top 200 Environmental Firms again this year," said HSCC President and SEC CEO Christopher Leichtweis. "Despite tough economic times, being recognized for sustaining revenues, speaks volumes further demonstrating our commitment to success."

In July, SEC was recognized by BusinessTN Magazine as one of the Top 250 companies in the State of Tennessee. The rankings were based on annual revenues and SEC was ranked as #155.
