SAFETY AND ECOLOGY CORPORATION AWARDED $4.3 MILLION CONTRACT
Company to Support Tennessee Manufacturing Expansion Project in the Modernization of Recycling Equipment
ARLINGTON, VA – August 14, 2008 Safety and Ecology Corporation, an international, environmental construction and disaster recovery services company, was recently awarded a contract valued at more than $4 million to provide services to support a Tennessee manufacturer’s expansion project. The team will be performing modernization of equipment that supports recycling for this manufacturing facility.
Over the past two years, Safety and Ecology Corporation has been awarded sixteen projects from this commercial client totaling over $13 million. Safety and Ecology Corporation’s scope of work includes supporting the infrastructure and facility upgrades, system modernization, excavation and demolition services.
“Our focus on environmental restoration and infrastructure construction has provided a foundation to provide increased value to our client and its recycling programs in Tennessee,” said HSCC president and Safety and Ecology Corporation’s CEO Chris Leichtweis.
Safety and Ecology Corporation has been able to utilize seventeen years of hands-on field experience at federal facilities to support the client’s mission. Headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, Safety and Ecology Corporation’s working relationship with the Tennessee manufacturer broadens its local presence with commercial clients.
“These projects are integral to our growth strategy as they help us establish a foothold in the infrastructure construction business,” commented former Congressman and HSCC Chairman C. Thomas McMillen.
HSCC would like to inform shareholders, as was previously disclosed in our public filings, that we have changed our year end to June 30th. As a result, the company will not be filing a quarterly report on Form 10Q with the Securities and Exchange Commission for the period ending June 30th, but rather will file an annual report on Form 10K with the Commission by September 30, 2008.
