SECRA SAFELY WORKED 2.5 MILLION HOURS

With plans to reach 3 million hours and beyond

KNOXVILLE, TENN   As of Friday, July 21, 2006, Safety and Ecology Corporation (SEC) has worked in excess of 2,500,000 hours without a lost time injury. This milestone is equivalent to over 1,250 years work without a significant injury. SEC achieved this milestone through a diligent focus on safety – making safety a priority at work and at home. SEC projects combine mature project management, effective planning, training and worker involvement to instill a positive safety culture.

SEC projects across the US have received accolades for safety and health program performance. The value of this achievement was recently recognized by Bechtel Jacobs Company, LLC., in awarding SEC’s RADCON Alliance as “Safety Subcontractor of the Month” for July 2006. BJC’s subcontractor coordinator, Grant Ceffalo praised the program in an e-mail, “Please add my congratulations! This is an outstanding achievement, particularly regarding the environment we work in, and the work we do.”

“Safety success is achieved when project team believes in a safe workplace and supports each other in obtaining that goal,” said Jeff Hutchens, SEC’s Environmental Safety and Health Manager.
